  • DTI: Competitiveness and Productivity of the UK Design Engineering Sector. The report deploys a sectoral systems of innovation framework to determine the factors underpinning the competitiveness and productivity of the independent design engineering sector in the UK serving the automotive and electronics industries. It looks at the performance of the sector and its firms, and analyses how firms enter, compete and survive in the increasingly globalised marketplace. Download the PDF here.
  • HEFCE: Analysis of HEIF 4 Institutional Strategies. This report presents a sector-level analysis of knowledge exchange (KE) in the English Higher Education (HE) sector. It analyses the nature of knowledge exchange in the sector, the formation and importance of collaboration, partnerships and networks, the monitoring and evaluation of activities and mechanisms for increasing engagement and performance in knowledge exchange. It concludes by looking at how HEIF 4 funding will support the future development of knowledge exchange activities in the HE sector and the key risks facing HEIs. Download it here.
